The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at the University of Jember held its 2025 Annual Work Meeting (RKT) Workshop on February 27, 2025, in the International Room. The event was attended by all faculty leaders, heads of study programs, lecturers from the task force team, and educational staff. This workshop aimed to formulate a strategic and innovative annual work plan to enhance the quality of education, research, and community service within the FISIP University of Jember environment.
In her address, the Dean of FISIP University of Jember, Suyani Indriastuti, S.Sos., M.Si., Ph.D., stated that the 2025 RKT has a primary focus on developing innovations in learning and research, as well as adapting technology to support academic activities. “We must be able to adapt to the times, especially in the use of information technology. Therefore, this RKT emphasizes the integration of technology in every aspect of faculty activities,” said Suyani.
The workshop was filled with various discussion and presentation sessions, covering important topics, including:
- Enhancing the quality of competency-based curriculum.
- Developing interdisciplinary research that is relevant to community needs.
- Optimizing the use of information technology in learning and administration.
- Increasing cooperation with external partners, both domestically and internationally.
- Strengthening community service activities with tangible impacts.
Additionally, this workshop served as a platform to evaluate the achievements of the previous year’s RKT and identify challenges and opportunities faced by the faculty. Participants actively provided input and creative ideas, which are expected to form the basis for developing a better 2025 RKT.
At the end of the event, all participants agreed on the 2025 RKT formulation, which will serve as a guideline for all FISIP University of Jember academic community members in carrying out activities throughout the coming year. “We hope that this RKT can be a real step in realizing the vision and mission of FISIP University of Jember, as well as providing a greater contribution to society,” concluded Suyani.
