The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at the University of Jember (Unej) has reaffirmed its commitment to improving the quality of education and service. This was demonstrated by the holding of a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on “Improving the Quality of Learning and Service at FISIP Unej” which took place over two days, January 20-21, 2025 in the FISIP Unej International Room.
The FGD, which involved various important elements within FISIP, such as the Dean, Deputy Dean, Study Program Coordinators, Heads of Departments, and Deputy Coordinators, aimed to evaluate and update the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in force in the academic field. In addition, this activity also served as a forum for discussion to find solutions and innovations to improve service quality for students, education staff, and lecturers.
In the FGD, various crucial issues related to the learning process, academic administration, and student services became the main topics of discussion. Participants actively provided input and fresh ideas to improve existing SOPs. The hope is that with the renewal of these SOPs, all academic processes at FISIP can run more effectively and efficiently, and be able to meet the needs and expectations of the entire academic community.
The Dean of FISIP Unej, Suyani Indriastuti, S.Sos., M.Si., Ph.D., in her speech said that this FGD was a real step for FISIP to continue to improve and improve quality. “We are committed to providing the best for students. Through this FGD, we hope to find the best solutions to improve the quality of learning and service at FISIP,” she said.
By holding this FGD, FISIP Unej has further emphasized its position as a faculty that always strives to provide excellent service and create a conducive academic environment for the entire academic community.
