Students from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at the University of Jember (UNEJ) have once again achieved a proud milestone. Two FISIP UNEJ students have been selected as delegates for the prestigious 2026 Google Student Ambassador (GSA) program, a highly competitive national initiative joined by tens of thousands of students across Indonesia.

The selected delegates are Salsabila Fairusita (Business Administration Study Program) and Sucipto Tri Andika (Social Welfare Study Program). Both successfully navigated a rigorous selection process from the registration stage to ultimately secure positions among the top 150 national participants out of a staggering 81,000 applicants from various universities in Indonesia.

As part of the program itinerary, the two delegates attended the Inauguration and Google Office Tour held on April 23–24, 2026, at the Google Indonesia Office and MGP Space SCBD, South Jakarta. The event featured inspiring talk show sessions with GSA alumni, a ceremonial inauguration, and a direct tour of Google’s workspace to gain firsthand insight into its corporate work culture and global technological innovations.

This participation represents not only a remarkable personal milestone but also a tangible contribution by FISIP UNEJ students to elevating the institution’s reputation at the national level. Through this program, the delegates will serve their tenure as ambassadors from April to July 2026, focusing on implementing digital literacy programs and technological innovations within the campus environment.

Key Benefits of the GSA Program:

  • Advanced Research Skills: Enhancing students’ capabilities to utilize Google technology for social research.

  • Professional Growth: Strengthening communication and professional collaboration skills.

  • AI Mastery: Mastering the utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to analyze various social issues more effectively.

This achievement is expected to inspire other students to strive for excellence and contribute to tech-based innovation. FISIP University of Jember remains firmly committed to continuously supporting the development of student potential to meet global challenges in the digital era.
