The Public Administration Study Program under the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Jember University (UNEJ) has achieved a stellar milestone. According to the official decision by the Independent Accreditation Agency for Social, Political, Administration, and Communication Sciences (LAMSPAK), the Public Administration Study Program has officially secured the “Excellent” (Unggul) accreditation status. This highest tier of achievement serves as tangible proof of the academic community’s long-standing commitment to maintaining and enhancing the quality of the Three Pillars of Higher Education (Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi).

This success was achieved following a rigorous series of evaluation processes, including a crucial field assessment conducted on April 17, 2026. Held at the FISIP UNEJ campus, the assessment was attended by a team of expert assessors from LAMSPAK, university executives, the deanery, and the internal accreditation form preparation team. The data verification process, interviews with stakeholders, alumni, and students, as well as a direct inspection of the lecture supporting facilities, proceeded smoothly and constructively.

During the feedback session, the assessor team highly commended the various strengths of UNEJ’s Public Administration Study Program. Several crucial points that served as strong assets in securing the “Excellent” status included an adaptive curriculum, the productivity of faculty members in research and community service, and numerous national-level academic and non-academic achievements earned by students. Furthermore, the strong network of partnerships with government and private institutions was deemed highly supportive of the graduates’ career readiness.

This “Excellent” accreditation from LAMSPAK is expected not to breed complacency within the Public Administration Study Program, but rather to serve as a golden momentum for continuous innovation. The leadership of FISIP UNEJ emphasized that this accreditation status will serve as primary leverage to step into the international arena and further bolster public trust. With this new title, the Public Administration Study Program remains committed to producing competent graduates of high integrity who are ready to make tangible contributions to public governance and community service in Indonesia.
