A profound sense of national pride filled the Tegalboto Campus Parade Grounds at Jember University (UNEJ) on Monday (1/6). The entire academic community, including representatives from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) UNEJ, gathered to participate in the ceremony commemorating the Birth of Pancasila. Centered around the meaningful theme, “An Impactful Campus Based on Pancasila Values for National Progress,” the event served as a crucial momentum for the university to reflect on the noble values of the state ideology in addressing contemporary challenges.
This year’s ceremony was exceptionally vibrant, featuring a spectacular Nusantara Cultural Parade. Eager to mark the occasion, FISIP UNEJ deployed its finest delegation, which included lecturers, administrative staff, and students. In a unique display of unity, university executives and faculty deans—including the Dean of FISIP—led the procession wearing diverse traditional costumes from various regions across Indonesia. This colorful display of traditional attire successfully brought the spirit of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika (Unity in Diversity) to life throughout the ceremonial grounds.
The excitement reached its peak as the cultural parade from each faculty began to march. FISIP UNEJ proudly showcased the rich cultural heritage of the archipelago through the harmonious traditional outfits worn by its participants. This active involvement was not merely a visual celebration, but a tangible symbol of FISIP UNEJ’s commitment to continuously internalizing Pancasila values within daily academic life. Through this spirit of unity in diversity, FISIP UNEJ stands ready to move forward together to realize an impactful campus: strengthening national values, embracing cultural diversity, and uniting under Pancasila.
