The Public Administration Study Program at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), University of Jember (UNEJ), has officially commenced a crucial agenda for its external quality assurance. From April 16 to 18, 2026, an assessor team from the Independent Accreditation Agency for Higher Education in Law, Political Science, Administration, and Communication (LAMSPAK) is conducting a Field Assessment to validate the quality of education management within the study program.

The three-day event is centered at the FISIP complex, located on UNEJ’s Tegalboto Campus. The first day’s agenda kicked off with an opening ceremony attended by university executives, faculty leadership, and the entire academic community of the Public Administration Study Program. This field assessment serves as the follow-up to the document adequacy assessment stage, which was previously submitted by the faculty’s accreditation team.

During the assessment process, the LAMSPAK assessor team is conducting an in-depth verification of various components, including:

  • Curriculum structure and relevance

  • Availability and quality of infrastructure and facilities

  • Academic and non-academic achievements of both students and lecturers

In addition to reviewing physical infrastructure such as laboratories and libraries, the assessors are also conducting interview sessions with various stakeholders, including alumni and graduate employers. This is aimed at measuring how well the current curriculum aligns with the demands of today’s job market.

“Preparations for this accreditation have been thoroughly and meticulously planned well in advance. We hope the results of this field assessment will provide formal recognition of the educational quality in the Public Administration Study Program, while also serving as a valuable evaluation tool to continuously innovate our teaching methods and community service initiatives in the future.” — Suyani Indriastuti, S.Sos., M.Si., Ph.D., Dean of FISIP Universitas Jember.

The field assessment series will conclude on April 18, 2026, marked by the submission of the draft minutes of the verification results from the assessor team to the university authorities. The entire FISIP UNEJ community highly anticipates that this process will yield the highest outcome—an “Excellent” (Unggul) accreditation status—thereby strengthening the University of Jember’s position as one of the leading higher education institutions in East Java.
