The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at the University of Jember successfully identified its top academic talents during the faculty-level Outstanding Student Selection (PILMAPRES) held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026. This prestigious annual competition aims to honor students who excel not only in academic performance but also demonstrate tangible contributions through innovation, organizational leadership, and foreign language proficiency. The event serves as a crucial stepping stone for students to sharpen their critical thinking skills and competitiveness prior to advancing to the university and national levels of the competition.
This year’s PILMAPRES was highly competitive, featuring active participation from students across various study programs divided into two categories: Bachelor’s (S1) and Diploma (D3) degrees. Participants underwent a series of rigorous selection processes, ranging from presenting scientific papers to interviews regarding their outstanding achievements before a panel of judges. The diverse academic backgrounds of the contestants reflect a widespread spirit of achievement across the faculty, underscoring the inclusive quality of education and student development within FISIP UNEJ.
Following the final evaluation, Fanny Amalia Surya Tantular from the International Relations Study Program secured first place in the Bachelor’s category, followed by Algi Febriano from Public Administration in second place, and Nailan Firdaus from Social Welfare in third. Meanwhile, in the Diploma category, the Tourism Travel Business Study Program demonstrated strong dominance, with Moch.
