The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Jember officially held a send-off ceremony for its Even Semester Collaborative High-Impact Internship Program on Monday, February 23, 2026. The solemn event, which took place in the 2nd-floor Auditorium of the FISIP Building, marks a concrete step by the faculty to implement an adaptive curriculum tailored to the contemporary demands of the professional world.

The ceremony was officially opened by the Dean of FISIP Universitas Jember, who attended alongside the faculty’s executive board. In his remarks, the Dean emphasized that this internship is not merely a requirement to fulfill academic credits (SKS), but rather a golden bridge for students to transform academic theories into practical application. The presence of the faculty leadership underscores the institution’s full commitment to ensuring the high competitiveness and quality of its graduates.

This High-Impact Internship Program is a tangible result of strategic partnerships established between FISIP and various stakeholders, spanning government agencies, non-profit organizations, and the industrial sector. Through this collaboration, students are given the opportunity to immerse themselves directly in the field and confront real-world challenges in the professional sphere. This initiative is expected to bridge the competency gap between higher education graduates and labor market expectations.

Over the coming semester, students will be stationed at various partner institutions to acquire valuable knowledge and experience outside the campus environment. The primary focus of the program is to generate a tangible “impact,” where students are expected not only to learn but also to contribute positively to their respective host institutions. This collaboration-based internship model ensures structured guidance from both professional mentors and field supervisors.

The send-off event concluded with a group photo session and a brief briefing on workplace professional ethics. With the launch of this program, FISIP Universitas Jember reaffirms its position as a progressive educational institution dedicated to producing graduates who are not only intellectually excellent but also experientially mature. This spirit of collaboration serves as the main foundation for grooming future changemakers ready to contribute to the wider society.
