The Family of Alumni of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (KAFISIP) at Jember University (Unej) officially inaugurated the newly renovated prayer room within the faculty premises on Friday, July 8th. The project, initiated by the 2020/2024 management period, stands as a tangible contribution from alumni to enhance worship facilities for students and the academic community.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Jember Deputy Regent, Djoko Susanto, alongside several members of the Jember Regional House of Representatives, Brigadier General Colonel Inf. Dr. La Ode Muhammad Nurdin, and Jember Police Chief AKBP Bobby Adimas Candra Putra.
Dean of FISIP, Suryani Indriastuti, S.Sos., M.Si., Ph.D., expressed her sincere appreciation for the collective effort of alumni from various professions. She voiced hope that the now more comfortable facility would be maximally utilized for religious activities.
Chairman of KAFISIP, Dr. Muhammad Taufiq, emphasized that this initiative proves alumni not only maintain communication but also create a positive impact on their alma mater. In addition to the prayer room renovation, KAFISIP has also been actively providing tuition fee (UKT) assistance to students in need.
