The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of the University of Jember (UNEJ) has achieved a proud achievement in the 2024 National Inter-Agency Tennis Championship held at the State University of Surabaya (UNESA). The FISIP UNEJ team managed to rank second in the team category, confirming the name of FISIP UNEJ in the national tennis scene.
This glorious achievement cannot be separated from the hard work and high dedication of all team members consisting of Drs. Bagus Sigit Sunarko, M.Si., Ph.D., Jamaludin, Susila, and Hari Wibowo. They have practiced diligently and shown a high fighting spirit during the match. This victory is also proof that the academic community of FISIP UNEJ is not only superior in the academic field, but also has extraordinary potential in sports.
Drs. Bagus Sigit Sunarko, M.Si., Ph.D. as the team leader expressed his gratitude for the achievements that have been achieved. “We are very grateful for this achievement. This achievement is the result of solid teamwork and support from all parties. Hopefully this achievement can inspire other FISIP UNEJ students to continue to excel both in academic and non-academic fields,” he said.
The success of FISIP UNEJ in this event is also proof that sports can be a means to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and increase the spirit of togetherness among the academic community. In addition, this achievement is also expected to improve the positive image of FISIP UNEJ in the eyes of the public.
With this second place, FISIP UNEJ has shown that they are one of the faculties that has brilliant achievements not only in the academic field, but also in sports. Hopefully this achievement can be a motivation for FISIP UNEJ to continue to excel in the future.
