The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at the University of Jember (FISIP UNEJ) officially launched the Socialization of the Student Organization Capacity Building Program (PPK Ormawa). The event, which was met with great enthusiasm, aims to provide student leaders with a profound understanding of organizational capacity-building schemes focused on community service and formal achievements.
The event was officially opened by the Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni of FISIP UNEJ, Dr. Edy Wahyudi, M.M. In his opening remarks, he emphasized that PPK Ormawa is not merely a routine agenda but a strategic instrument designed to hone students’ soft skills and leadership capabilities. He expressed his hope that through this socialization, student organizations within FISIP would become more cohesive in designing work programs that generate a broad and meaningful impact.
A Drive Toward Global Achievements
The primary focus of this year’s socialization is the acceleration and enhancement of student achievements at both national and international levels. Through intensive mentoring provided by PPK Ormawa, every Student Activity Unit (UKM) is expected to successfully convert community service initiatives into academically recognized achievements. This initiative aligns seamlessly with the university’s vision to strengthen its standing in global student activity rankings.
Held in the faculty’s main auditorium, the event was attended by representatives from various UKMs and Student Organizations (ORMAWA) within FISIP UNEJ. Participants received comprehensive guidance on proposal drafting techniques, evaluation criteria, and cross-disciplinary collaboration strategies to ensure their proposed programs possess a high competitive edge at the national level.
“Through this socialization, FISIP UNEJ is fully committed to continuously supporting every stage of the students’ creative process.”
Dr. Edy Wahyudi concluded the opening session by urging all student organization leaders to act swiftly and innovatively to seize the grant opportunities offered by this program. This spirit of healthy competition is expected to spark new, impactful innovations from the “Orange Campus.”
