Jember – The holy month of Ramadan became a meaningful opportunity for the Dharma Wanita (Women’s Association) of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Jember University (UNEJ) to spread happiness. They organized a social service event, distributing staple food packages to contract-status educational staff, as well as security guards and cleaning staff who contribute to maintaining the campus environment. This initiative reflects the Dharma Wanita FISIP UNEJ’s care and gratitude for the dedication and hard work of these individuals in ensuring the smooth operation of activities within FISIP UNEJ.
In addition to providing staple food packages, Dharma Wanita FISIP UNEJ also provided educational financial assistance to the child of one of the educational staff members. This assistance is expected to alleviate the burden of education costs and motivate the child to continue pursuing their aspirations. The Head of Dharma Wanita FISIP UNEJ stated that this activity is part of their work program, aimed at increasing social awareness and strengthening the bond of kinship among the extended family of FISIP UNEJ.
The recipients warmly welcomed this social service event, expressing their gratitude for the attention and care provided by Dharma Wanita FISIP UNEJ. It is hoped that this activity will inspire others to continue sharing kindness, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.
The Head of DWP and Dean of FISIP Jember University, Suyani Indriastuti, S.Sos., M.Si., Ph.D., explained that this activity is an annual routine agenda held every Ramadan. She hopes that this event will benefit and bring happiness to employees within the FISIP UNEJ work environment who are in need, and further strengthen camaraderie. “The month of Ramadan is a month full of blessings and forgiveness. Therefore, we want to seize this moment to share happiness with others,” Suyani stated. It is hoped that this activity can serve as an inspiration for other organizations to conduct similar initiatives.
