The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at the University of Jember held a coordination meeting between facilitators and the committee to prepare for the workshop on formulating the faculty’s mission and vision. This important meeting took place in FISIP’s International Room at the University of Jember on March 11, 2025, and was officially opened by the Dean of FISIP, Suyani Indriaatuti, S.Sos., M.Si., Ph.D.

The coordination meeting aimed to finalize all technical and substantive preparations for the upcoming workshop. Discussions covered the agenda, the roles of each committee member and facilitator, and the targets to be achieved during the workshop. The Dean of FISIP emphasized the importance of good synergy and collaboration among all parties to ensure the workshop runs smoothly and produces a relevant and visionary mission and vision statement.

In her address, Dean Suyani Indriaatuti, S.Sos., M.Si., Ph.D., expressed her appreciation to all committee members and facilitators who dedicated their time and effort to ensure the success of this event. She also highlighted the significant role of young lecturers in this workshop. According to her, the involvement of young lecturers in such strategic activities will provide valuable experience and prepare them to face future challenges.

“This workshop is intentionally largely handled by young lecturers to provide them with more experience. This way, they will become lecturers ready for FISIP’s next generation,” stated Dean Suyani Indriaatuti, S.Sos., M.Si., Ph.D. She expressed hope that through this workshop, FISIP University of Jember can formulate a strong mission and vision relevant to contemporary developments and produce high-quality and competitive graduates.

The coordination meeting concluded with a discussion and Q&A session, where committee members and facilitators could provide input and suggestions regarding the workshop preparations. A spirit of togetherness and optimism was evident among all meeting participants, signifying their readiness to ensure the success of the FISIP University of Jember mission and vision formulation workshop.
