The Tax Center Laboratory of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Universitas Jember (UNEJ), successfully held an international webinar themed Taxompar 2024. The event, which took place on September 29, 2024, at the FISIP UNEJ Meeting Room, was attended by academics, tax practitioners, students, and speakers from neighboring countries.
The webinar featured two distinguished speakers, Mr. Milson and Mr. Mohd Rizal Bin Palil from the National University of Malaysia. Both speakers presented compelling perspectives on taxation. Participants enthusiastically engaged in the Q&A session and discussion following the presentations.
In her opening remarks, Nurcahyaningtyas, Head of the Tax Center Laboratory, FISIP UNEJ, and also the event organizer, stated that the webinar aimed to enrich participants’ knowledge and understanding of current issues in taxation. Moreover, the event was expected to strengthen networking and collaboration between FISIP UNEJ and various educational institutions and other organizations at both the national and international levels.
This international webinar is a testament to the Tax Center Laboratory, FISIP UNEJ’s commitment to developing a leading and professional center for tax research, study, and information services. In the future, it is hoped that similar events can be held regularly to support the improvement of human resources in the field of taxation.
