Universitas Terbuka (UT) successfully hosted its 6th International Conference themed “Facing Resilient Future Through Sustainability and Innovation” on Thursday, September 26, 2024. Held at the Universitas Terbuka Convention Center (UTCC), the event brought together speakers from various backgrounds to discuss the challenges and opportunities in building a more sustainable future.
During the conference, participants were invited to discuss various current issues, such as the role of technology in achieving sustainability, the importance of cross-disciplinary collaboration, and efforts to adapt to climate change. Additionally, the conference served as a platform for researchers to present their research findings and share knowledge with other participants.
The Dean of the Faculty of Law, Social Sciences, and Political Science (FHISIP) UT, Dr. Meita Istianda, S.IP., M.Si, stated that this conference is UT’s effort to contribute to the development of knowledge and to encourage the creation of innovative solutions to address global problems. “We hope that this conference can inspire participants to continue to work and contribute to building a better future,” said Meita. On this occasion, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Jember, acted as one of the co-hosts and contributed positively by submitting 14 articles presented in the break room sessions.
The 6th International Open Society Conference is one of the proofs of UT’s commitment to carrying out the tridharma of higher education. Through activities like this, UT not only serves as an educational institution but also as a center for the development of science and innovation.
