The SOLAGRATIA Student Organization at Universitas Jember conducted a service project called SOLA IMPACT at Bakti Luhur Orphanage in Jember. This initiative, organized by the Solagratia Public Relations division, aimed to showcase the contributions and impact of students on the Jember community. SOLAGRATIA sought to inspire Universitas Jember students, especially those from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), to make a positive difference both on and off campus.
The event took place on June 19, 2024, at Bakti Luhur Orphanage. Prior to the event, Solagratia distributed flyers to FISIP students to encourage donations of various items. The FISIP community responded generously, contributing clothing, accessories, shoes, and financial support. All donations were collected and presented to the orphanage.
Solagratia’s efforts extended beyond providing material assistance. To foster a sense of community and bring joy to the children with disabilities at Bakti Luhur Orphanage, the organization organized various activities. Seeing the children’s happiness, one Solagratia member expressed, “Welcoming Solagratia is an unforgettable experience.”
The event, which lasted from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, included group prayers, games, shared meals, and the distribution of gifts and donations. The children’s gratitude and joy were evident.
Johannes Hutabarat, the event coordinator, expressed deep gratitude to Bakti Luhur Orphanage for providing Solagratia with the opportunity to give back and make a positive impact. Similarly, the orphanage’s caregivers extended their sincere thanks to all donors for their generosity.
We hope that the SOLA IMPACT program will continue to grow and expand, enabling more students to contribute to their community. This initiative has proven to be highly impactful, fostering a sense of purpose and inspiring students to embrace the spirit of giving.
