Friday, April 3, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of the University of Jember in an effort to realize the Zone of Integrity (ZI) in its work environment held an academic community character development activity. The activity which was held in the holy month of Ramadan made this activity wrapped in a religious atmosphere with the theme “Forming a Superior, Integrated, and Religious Civitas.” The event, which was attended by lecturers and educational staff, presented a speaker Dr. H. SUHERMIN ABDUL MUHAIMIN, M.Pd. as Chairman of the Mujahadah BBC Jember Foundation.
In his tausiyah, he said that the basis for fostering and developing the value of integrity in oneself is to instill a sense of piety to God. With a sense of taqwa in ourselves, automatically every action and decision we make will always feel as a form of worship to God. Working in the holy month of Ramadan can instill positive values in work, this will provide smoothness in completing every responsibility and target that we will achieve.
The form of success of those of us who have successfully carried out fasting can be seen from several tangible forms that will be seen from our daily behavior both in the family, and in the work environment. Fasting will make us an individual who has a high social spirit by always sincerely giving alms or assistance in any form to others, fasting will also shape our behavior.
