As a series of promotion efforts, the Diploma of Travel Business Program (UPW), Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, University of Jember, had a chance to visit several vocational schools in Banyuwangi. It aims to introduce the program that has been established since 1998, as well as to increase enthusiasm and build a mindset for students in the future to be more familiar with the University of Jember.
The Diploma of Travel Business promotion program activity was carried out for two days, starting from 5-6 February 2024 through Banyuwangi Regency. This regency has contributed primarily as students to the diploma. Some of the vocational schools visited were SMKN Darul Ulum, Muncar District; SMKN 1 Banyuwangi and SMK Muhammadiyah, Genteng District. The team from the Diploma of Travel Business Program consisting of Panca Oktawirani, S.Pd., S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D.; Pramesi Lokaprasidha, S.S., M.Par.; Rebecha Prananta, S.Si., M.Si.; Margaretta Andini Nugorho, S.St. Par., M.Par.; Pandu Satriya Hutama, S.St.Par., M.Sc. and Agung, S.Sos., had the opportunity presented through the schools.
On the occasion, the Diploma of Travel Bussiness Program also distributed promotion tools, such as leaflets, posters, and standing banners. This activity is important in carrying out to increase the distribution of information and find out the needs of students that can be accommodated by the program. This promotion activity would be held through Sekar Kijang region of East Java.
