Annual Individual Tax Return reporting in one of the obligations for every Indonesian citizen as a taxpayer. Compiled from ppid.lampungprov.go.id, the Annual Individual Tax Return itself is an annual tax report used by individual Taxpayers (WPOP) in Indonesia to report income earned during the tax year. It is further explained that there are three types of Annual Individual Tax Return forms (form 1770) used in Indonesia, namely SPT 1770 form, SPT 1770 S form, and 1770 SS form. All there are differentiated based on the amount and source of income earned by the individual Taxpayer in one tax year.
The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of Jember University as one of the educational institutions, is obligated to fill out the Annual Tax Return. In this case, WPOP employees within the FISIP University of Jember must fill out tax forms online on the djponline.pajak.go.id page. However, one of the obstacles faced is the online tax filling procedure which is still not widely understood by employees in the FISIP University of Jember.
In an effort to address this, there is a need for online tax filling assistance activities by students of the DIII Taxation Study Program, FISIP, University of Jember, who are members of the Tax Center Laboratory. One of the main tasks and functions of the Tax Center Laboratory is to provide assistance in filling out the Annual Tax Return. The WPOP filling assistance activity was held on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at the Session Room, FISIP, University of Jember. Present at the opening of the event were the Dean of FISIP University of Jember, Dr. Djoko Poernomo, M.Si., CIQnR., CSBA., and the Coordinator of the DIII Taxation Study Program, Dr. Yuslinda Dwi Handini, S.Sos., M.AB., along with the Head of the Tax Center Laboratory, Nurcahyaning Dwi Kusumaningrum, S.E., M.A.
On the occasion, Djoko emphasized on the aspect of assistance that is not only tax center goes to faculty and university but also emphasizes on tax center goes to society. This is based on efforts to understand the general public about the importance of filling and educating the procedures for filling the Annual Tax Return for WPOP. So that the community is more familiar with the Tax Center and the DIII Taxation Study Program and its importance role for the community.
