JEMBER—The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at the University of Jember is demonstrating its unwavering commitment to maintaining and enhancing the quality of its educational programs through a thorough Internal Quality Audit (AMI). This significant event took place on Monday, August 25, 2025, in the faculty’s main hall on the second floor. A team of auditors from the University of Jember’s Institute for Learning and Quality Assurance (LPMPP), led by Prof. Ns. Tantut Susanto, S.Kep., M.Kep., Sp.Kom., Ph.D., was on-site to conduct a systematic evaluation of various academic and non-academic aspects within FISIP.
The LPMPP audit team was warmly welcomed by the Dean of FISIP and all his staff, including the Vice Deans 1, 2, and 3, the Head of the Quality Management Group (GPM), Heads of Departments, and Study Program Coordinators, along with members of the Faculty Quality Assurance Unit (UPM) and Lab Heads. In his opening remarks, the Dean stated that the AMI was a strategic and highly anticipated moment. He emphasized that the audit was not a fault-finding mission but a constructive evaluation process to identify the faculty’s strengths and areas needing improvement for future institutional progress.
Prof. Ns. Tantut Susanto, Ph.D., representing the LPMPP, explained that the primary goal of the AMI is to ensure that all learning and management processes at the faculty comply with the National Higher Education Standards (SNPT) and the quality standards set by the University of Jember. He stressed that this audit is part of a continuous quality assurance cycle, and its findings will serve as a basis for the faculty to formulate measurable and effective quality improvement measures.
The audit process itself involved several stages, including a review of documents, data verification, and discussions and interviews with relevant units within FISIP. The scope of the evaluation covered curriculum, teaching and learning processes, the quality of human resources (lecturers and educational staff), facilities and infrastructure, and student service management. The atmosphere throughout the event was collaborative, highlighting the excellent synergy between the audit team and the faculty.
With the successful execution of this Internal Quality Audit, FISIP at the University of Jember is expected to continue its journey of improvement and innovation to provide the best possible education for its students. The audit’s findings will provide valuable recommendations that the faculty leadership will seriously address. This shared commitment between FISIP and the LPMPP is a crucial pillar in realizing the University of Jember’s vision of becoming a leading educational institution with a strong reputation both nationally and internationally.
