JEMBER, INDONESIA — The Jember University Entrepreneurship Student Activity Unit (UKM Kewirausahaan) successfully held an inspiring national seminar on Saturday, August 23, 2025. The event, which took place in the main hall on the second floor of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), aimed to cultivate an entrepreneurial and innovative spirit among students.
The seminar was officially opened by Dr. Edy Wahyudi, MM, the Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni. In his welcoming speech, Dr. Edy expressed his appreciation for the students’ initiative in organizing a relevant event for the challenges of today’s world. He encouraged participants to absorb as much knowledge as possible from the competent speakers.
The seminar featured two distinguished speakers. The first, Didik Suharijadi, S.S., M.A., is a well-known multi-talented figure. Besides being a lecturer at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) at Jember University, he is also the initiator of Mandiri Energi and a practitioner in culture and renewable energy. This unique combination of backgrounds offered participants a new perspective, encouraging them to view entrepreneurial opportunities not only from an economic standpoint but also through the lens of environmental sustainability and local cultural preservation.
The second speaker, Aulian Milki Toha Larobi, brought a visionary and creative youthful energy to the stage. Known for his critical thinking, hard work, and ability to seize opportunities, Aulian shared his experience in analyzing problems and creating innovative solutions. His excellent communication skills, time management, and teamwork abilities served as an inspiration for attendees, encouraging them to focus not only on business ideas but also on essential self-development and soft skills.
Furthermore, Aulian, who has a strong passion for social-environmental issues, social media, and graphic design, demonstrated how these three elements can be effectively synergized. He is active in sharing personal and impactful graphic design content and is frequently invited as a speaker, a judge, and a mentor. His experience is a testament to how the younger generation can be agents of change by using their creativity and digital platforms in a positive and constructive way.
Overall, the national seminar successfully presented a rich combination of insights from two speakers with different yet complementary backgrounds. Participants gained comprehensive knowledge, from the importance of culturally rooted renewable energy to strategies for becoming a creative, adaptable, and competitive young entrepreneur in the modern era. The event is expected to spark the birth of new, innovative, and sustainable business ideas among students.
