An outstanding student from the International Relations program, Scientiatari Cahyaning Adhi, has achieved a remarkable accomplishment on the international stage. She was officially accepted as an awardee in the prestigious “New Southbound Policy Short-term Study Program, 2025” at National Quemoy University, Taiwan, after receiving her Letter of Acceptance (LoA). This short-term study program will run for a full semester, starting on September 9, 2025, and ending on January 31, 2026.

While in Taiwan, Scientiatari will delve into a variety of thematic courses highly relevant to her field of study. The program offers in-depth courses such as the New Southbound Policy, Cross-Strait Relations, Regional Security, and International Relations. This series of courses is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the current political and security dynamics in the Indo-Pacific region, a key focus in contemporary international relations studies.

In addition to academic enrichment, the program also emphasizes the importance of language proficiency and cultural understanding. Scientiatari will participate in intensive Mandarin language courses for 12 hours per week, a crucial skill for diplomacy and cooperation in the East Asian region. The learning experience extends beyond the classroom, as the program also includes various field trips and cultural events that will enrich her insights and firsthand understanding of Taiwanese society and culture.

Being accepted into this program is a significant step for Scientiatari’s academic and professional development. The combination of theoretical knowledge of regional policies, practical understanding from field visits, and Mandarin language skills will be an invaluable asset. This international experience is expected to sharpen her critical analysis and expand her global network, which is essential for her future career as an aspiring diplomat or international relations practitioner.

Scientiatari Cahyaning Adhi’s achievement is not only a source of pride for her but also an inspiration for other Indonesian students to dare to compete and seek opportunities on the global stage. Her success proves that with thorough preparation and strong determination, Indonesian students are capable of achieving great things at various leading universities worldwide and contributing to the understanding of complex international issues.
