Eleven outstanding students from the D3 and S1 programs at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), University of Jember, demonstrated their best abilities at the highly anticipated Outstanding Student Selection (Pimapres) 2025 event. This prestigious competition serves as a platform to identify exceptional talents who are not only academically proficient but also possess innovative ideas and the potential to make a real contribution to society. All participants underwent a rigorous selection process before having the opportunity to present their brilliant ideas to the judging panel.

Pimapres FISIP 2025 featured three credible judges renowned in their respective fields: Prof. Ebi Hara, Panca Oktawirani, Ph.D., and Honest. All three are known for their strong track records in assessing student potential and appreciating innovation. With such a distinguished panel, the evaluation process is expected to be objective and comprehensive, covering various aspects from presentation skills, depth of ideas, relevance, to implementation potential. The presence of these judges added significant weight to this year’s Pimapres event.

The 11 participants represented various departments within FISIP, showcasing the faculty’s diverse range of disciplines. They presented a variety of engaging topics, ranging from contemporary social issues, creative economy development, innovation in governance, to efforts in improving education quality and environmental sustainability. The participants’ enthusiasm was evident in their thorough preparation, both in crafting their scientific papers and during the question-and-answer sessions with the judges.

The Pimapres event is more than just a competition; it is a crucial platform for students to hone their critical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication skills. Through Pimapres, students are encouraged not only to excel in the classroom but also to apply their knowledge to address contemporary challenges. It is hoped that the ideas emerging from Pimapres will not remain on paper but can be realized into beneficial programs or initiatives.

The organization of Pimapres FISIP 2025 is expected to continuously motivate other students to dare to innovate and achieve. The results of this competition will select FISIP’s best representatives who will advance to the university level and potentially even the national level. Whoever is chosen, they will serve as ambassadors for FISIP, University of Jember, carrying the faculty’s good name to a wider arena.
