The Senate of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Jember University (Unej) held its routine meeting today, July 25, 2025, in Room 109. The important session was led directly by the Dean of FISIP, Dr. Suyani Indriastuti, M.Si., Ph.D., and saw the attendance of most faculty senate members.
This senate meeting is a regular agenda always conducted before the graduation ceremony (yudisium) takes place. Its primary objective is to ensure all preparations and administrative requirements are complete regarding the nomination of the new FISIP Jember University senate and the graduation of students who have fulfilled all academic procedures. The strong presence of senate members highlights the faculty’s commitment to maintaining the quality and smooth progression of every academic stage.
During the meeting, Dr. Indriastuti discussed various crucial agendas related to the upcoming election of the new senate and the yudisium. Discussions covered the verification of data for prospective senate candidates and graduates, the determination of graduation status, and other technical matters supporting the success of both the senate election and the yudisium ceremony. Each point was meticulously reviewed to prevent any future obstacles.
Routine senate meetings like this serve as a vital pillar in FISIP Unej’s academic governance. Through this forum, various strategic decisions can be made collectively and transparently, ensuring that every policy adopted has undergone thorough consideration from all relevant parties. This also reflects the faculty’s accountability for all academic processes.
With the conclusion of this senate meeting, FISIP Unej is increasingly prepared to hold the new senate election process tomorrow, July 26, 2025, and the yudisium ceremony, which will take place in the FISIP Jember University Hall. It is hoped that all events will run smoothly, providing a memorable experience for the prospective graduates who will soon celebrate their achievements.
