The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at the University of Jember (UNEJ), in collaboration with the Institute for Educational Development and Quality Assurance (LP3M) UNEJ, held a monitoring and evaluation (monev) activity for the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program for the 2024/2025 odd semester. This activity aimed to evaluate the implementation of the ongoing MBKM program, identify obstacles, and formulate improvement solutions to enhance the quality of learning.
This MBKM monev involved all stakeholders, including lecturers, students, and collaborative partners. During the activity, evaluations were conducted on various aspects, such as the curriculum, activity implementation, learning achievements, and the program’s impact on student competency development.
The monev results indicated that the MBKM program at FISIP UNEJ has been running well and providing positive impacts for students. However, several obstacles need to be addressed immediately, such as administrative issues, limited resources, and differences in understanding between students and lecturers regarding the MBKM program.
Based on the monev results, FISIP UNEJ will implement several improvements, including curriculum refinement, enhanced quality of activity implementation, increased program socialization to students and lecturers, and strengthened collaboration with partners.
With continuous monev and improvements, it is expected that the MBKM program at FISIP UNEJ can continue to develop and provide optimal benefits for students in developing their competencies and preparing themselves for the world of work.
