Jember, November 24, 2024 – The annual Dean’s Cup and New Student Cup competitions at FISIP UNEJ have once again captured the spotlight. The Social Welfare Students Association (HIMAKES) has showcased their exceptional skills, achieving remarkable results.
As annual sporting events organized by FISIP UNEJ, the Dean’s Cup and New Student Cup are prestigious competitions among student representatives from various departments within the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Jember. These departments include International Relations, Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Welfare, Sociology, Taxation, and Tourism.
The FISIP 2024 Dean’s Cup Futsal tournament, held from October 12-19, marked the beginning of HIMAKES’ success. HIMAKES Team A (class of 2021-2022) delivered an impressive performance and clinched the championship title. Additionally, HIMAKES Team B (class of 2023-2024) secured third place. Akbil Maulana (class of 2021) topped the scoring charts with his exceptional goal-scoring abilities, while the unwavering support from Social Welfare students earned them the Best Supporter award.
HIMAKES continued their winning streak in the FISIP 2024 New Student Cup Volleyball tournament, held on October 19-20. The HIMAKES Women’s Team (class of 2023-2024) dominated the competition and claimed the championship title. In the FISIP 2024 Dean’s Cup Volleyball tournament, held on October 26-27, the HIMAKES Men’s Team also showcased their best performance and secured the championship title. Derinda Nayla N (class of 2024) was awarded the MVP title for Women’s Volleyball, becoming the star of the tournament.
In the FISIP 2024 Dean’s Cup Badminton tournament, held from October 18-20, Abdul Hamid (class of 2023) and Zackwan H.S. (class of 2022) displayed exceptional skills in the Men’s Doubles category. The duo secured the runner-up position with their impressive performance, defeating tough opponents.
These outstanding achievements demonstrate that Social Welfare students at FISIP Universitas Jember excel not only academically but also in sports. “The enthusiasm among students from different classes was evident in every match. We are proud to represent the Social Welfare department with such extraordinary achievements, especially in sports,” said Primahesti Gitri Zuhudia, Head of Student Affairs at HIMAKES 2024.
In the FISIP UNEJ 2024 Dean’s Cup Basketball tournament, held from October 29 to November 2, the HIMAKES basketball team also performed admirably. The HIMAKES Women’s Basketball team secured second place after a fierce competition, while the Men’s Basketball team finished in third place, highlighting the importance of teamwork in achieving success.
Furthermore, in the 2024 New Student Sports Week (PORMABA), HIMAKES basketball representatives played a pivotal role. The team, consisting of M. Ramzy Bilstrup Z (class of 2023), M. Davin Sean A.A., and Allysa Kartika P (class of 2024), secured second place in the highly competitive basketball tournament.
