Muhammad Taufik, a high-ranking government official and alumnus of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), University of Jember, has been elected as the chairman of the faculty’s alumni association. The election took place during a meeting of alumni held on November 23rd.

In his speech, Taufik expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him and pledged to carry out his duties to the best of his ability. He envisions transforming the FISIP alumni association into a more active, innovative, and community-benefiting community.

Some of the programs he will implement include:

  • Strengthening alumni networks: Both domestically and internationally.
  • Assisting young alumni: Through mentoring programs and job placement.
  • Conducting social activities: Such as providing scholarships, conducting community service, and participating in policymaking.
  • Collaborating with the university: To improve the quality of education and the reputation of the campus.

Taufik invites all alumni to actively participate in the association’s activities. He believes that by working together, FISIP alumni can make a greater contribution to society and the nation.

With his experience and abilities, it is hoped that Taufik can bring positive changes to the FISIP alumni association of the University of Jember
