The Emotional Spiritual Quotient (ESQ) training is a character-building program designed to help all participants discover their purpose and find fulfillment from within. The book “The ESQ Way 165” by Dr. HC. Ary Ginanjar Agustian outlines key concepts such as Mission Statement, Character Building, Self-Control, Strategic Collaboration, and Total Action. ESQ plays a crucial role in enhancing the effective, massive, and sustainable achievement of management objectives.

To achieve its institutional goals, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of Universitas Jember, in collaboration with the ESQ Leadership Center, organized an ESQ training program. This 3-day training, held at Onsen Resort Hotel in Batu, East Java from August 2-4, 2024, was attended by 45 FISIP academic staff members. The program consisted of two in-house training sessions and one outbound activity.

In his welcoming remarks, the Dean of FISIP, Dr. Djoko Poernomo, emphasized the training’s objective of enhancing the personal qualities of the academic staff. By fostering a stronger work ethic, the Dean hopes to optimize the staff’s dedication to serving students. Additionally, the training aimed to cultivate a strong team spirit to better achieve FISIP’s institutional goals. The Dean also stressed the importance of understanding emotional management and spirituality to strengthen the FISIP community’s competence and spirituality.

The training’s trainers, Bapak Novriza and Bapak Nurul, both certified by BNSP RI and ICF Level 1 in communication and spirituality, delivered engaging sessions. By combining two-way communication, informative content, and humor, they fostered a sense of camaraderie, teamwork, and problem-solving. The trainers provided valuable insights on developing and implementing effective strategies to achieve goals.
