The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at the University of Jember (UNEJ) convened a specialized workshop on Saturday, December 13, 2025, aimed at elevating the archival management competencies of its administrative staff. Held at the UNEJ Jubung Vocational Campus, the initiative sought to fortify the faculty\u2019s administrative framework, ensuring document governance remains systematic, efficient, and aligned with national archival standards. The training session saw enthusiastic participation from the faculty’s administrative personnel, whose daily responsibilities involve the management of critical public and academic records. To provide comprehensive guidance, FISIP UNEJ invited Anie Budiastuti, S.H., M.H.<\/b>, a Senior Archivist from UIN KHAS Jember, as the primary keynote speaker. During her presentation, Budiastuti emphasized the necessity of understanding the “archival lifecycle,” which spans from the initial creation of a document to its eventual disposal or permanent preservation. Complementing the theoretical framework, two facilitators from the UNEJ Archival Academic Unit (UPA), Kusnadi<\/b> and Citra Puspita A.E.C.<\/b> (both Junior Archivists), provided in-depth technical guidance. Their sessions focused on the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) currently implemented across the University of Jember to ensure institutional consistency. Moving beyond theory, the workshop featured practical, hands-on sessions. Participants were instructed in the assembly of standardized archival storage solutions to ensure the physical longevity and organization of documents. Furthermore, the staff underwent rigorous exercises in record classification<\/b>, a critical skill designed to accelerate document retrieval and streamline workflow efficiency. By implementing these professional archival practices, FISIP UNEJ aims to foster a culture of administrative order, ultimately supporting the institution’s commitment to transparency and public accountability.
