The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Jember University (UNEJ) has reaffirmed its commitment to public information transparency by participating in a monitoring and evaluation (Monev) activity for its Implementing Public Information and Documentation Officer (PPID) in early 2025. This initiative is part of a comprehensive overhaul spearheaded by Vice-Rector IV for Planning, Cooperation, and Information Systems, Prof. Drs. Bambang Kuswandi, M.Sc, Ph.D.<\/b>, aimed at enhancing accountability and the quality of information services across various faculties at UNEJ.<\/p>\n
The PPID Implementing Monev focused on evaluating the performance of the Task Forces team, encompassing website management, quality assurance systems, and PPID services. The evaluation revealed an improved responsiveness in handling public information requests. However, challenges persist, such as inconsistencies in understanding procedures among units and the optimization of supporting technology. Immediate corrective measures have been formulated, including regular training for PPID personnel and the integration of digital systems.<\/p>\n
Vice-Rector IV Bambang Kuswandi emphasized that this Monev is more than a mere formality; it’s a strategic tool for realizing good governance. “We want to ensure that every piece of information the public needs can be accessed easily, accurately, and in accordance with regulations. The PPID is the vanguard of our transparency,” Bambang stated in his address.<\/p>\n
Looking ahead, FISIP UNEJ plans to expand the scope of its Monev by actively involving students and external partners for a 360-degree evaluation.
